Game of Thrones fan comes up with some interesting predictions for season 8

Fan-made Game of Thrones trailer is full of hype and goosebumps

Game of Thrones is a crazy show. Let’s face it. Before the show came by, we had fandoms, we had theories, and everything else, but the show has managed to propel all of that to a new level. We have had our fun, and as far as the TV show goes, we are in the last year of theorizing, and the fandom seems to be at peak performance.

After contributing to ‘Long Night’ prequel George R.R. Martin has a new spin-off idea

The latest comes from a Redditor who listed out numerous predictions for Season 8, and might just have nailed the Night King‘s battle plan for the big end. Read on!

Game of Thrones fan Redditor thetripleb posted his predictions to the Game of Thrones subreddit, and he has a nice prediction for the Night King’s plan, as well as bits to support it. Check out the full post below:

Game of Thrones Season 8 fan predictions reveal a possibly great Night King battle plan

The redditor thinks that the battle plan of the Night King will be to destroy all the kingdoms and the people, because after all, Valar Morghulis. However, he says the Night King will make it happen by using the classic Bait & Switch. With Jaime Lannister headed north, the Night King will send his army to fight Jon Snow, but he, and undead Viserion, will not be there.

The theory claims that he will fly over to King’s Landing, sacrificing his army of 100,000 for the one of 1,000,000 in King’s Landing. This would be a brilliant plot point as Cersei Lannister gets served poetic justice for her betrayal of Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Tyrion Lannister, while the story streamlines as the Night King sits at the capital with a giant army while Jon, Dany and others plan to defeat him.

The theory also says Euron Greyjoy and The Golden Company also get turned to wights. Let’s take a moment to note that this matches Bran Stark‘s vision of King’s Landing showing the throne covered in snow, and the shadow of a dragon flying over the city.

New pictures of the King's Landing set show it nearing completion

The Bait & Switch has been done before, twice, back in Season 1 when Robb Stark fought the Battle of the Whispering Wood, and more recently Season 7 by the Lannisters at the Battle of Casterly Rock. It would be quite fitting if the Night King does end up doing this, almost poetic if you ask us.

There’s a hell lot more of good points in the list of predictions, so take a look. What do you think about this one? Talk to us in the comments, down below!

Balerion, The Black Dread, might not show up in House of The Dragon

Balerion, The Black Dread, might not show up in House of The Dragon

HBO just dropped the teaser trailer for Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon, and it broke the internet as soon as it was released. The highly anticipated prequel series has been HBO’s top priority for quite some time, and judging by the reaction of the fans that the teaser received, we can assume that they were right to do so. Though we witnessed several details about the upcoming show from the teaser, and of course the recent leaks, we didn’t get much information about the dragons, hardly any at all. But the teaser did give a slight hint about a certain dragon, Aegon The Conqueror’s famous ride Balerion the Black Dread might not be there in the series.

Balerion, The Black Dread, might not show up in House of The Dragon

In the teaser, we captured a quick glance at what appears to be a dragon skull. Judging by the size of the skull, and the thousands of lit candles in front of it, we can assume it is the skull of Balerion, who was dead by the time of Dance of the Dragons in Fire and Blood novel.

The size of the skull is comparable, if not slightly bigger than the skull we have seen in Game of Thrones, stored in the Red Keep. Another fact that points towards Balerion’s absence is that HBO recently changed the description of House of The Dragon on their official website. Instead of the earlier synopsis that said the timeline of the show being set 300 years prior to Game of Thrones, it has now been changed to 200 years. Balerion died in 94 AC, when Viserys I Targaryen was still young and hadn’t ascended to the throne. Hence it is very unlikely the dreadful beast will make an appearance, given that the series mainly focuses on the civil war that began after Viserys’ death.

New House of The Dragon leaks might be showing the first look at Daemon Targaryen’s first wife

Published

Rhaenyra Targaryen

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is moving fast with its production, and we can expect a spring release in 2022. Most of the main characters have been cast, and HBO has officially declared who’s playing who in the much-awaited prequel. With set pictures leaking quite often on the internet, the fans are getting a glimpse of more cast members in action. Recently, another rather unknown member of the House of The Dragon cast came into the limelight, via a leaked picture from the Aldershot set posted by Portal House of The Dragon Brasil.

One of the most common theories about the cast member in question is that she’s playing Prince Daemon Targaryen’s first wife Rhea Royce. This is how the character’s wiki describes her:

In 97 AC, Queen Alysanne Targaryen wed her grandson, Prince Daemon Targaryen, to Lady Rhea Royce, the heir to Runestone. Although the marriage was a fine, rich match, the marriage was not a success. Daemon found the Vale of Arryn little to his liking and grew bored. He soon developed a dislike for his wife, holding no love or affection toward Rhea, referring to her as his bronze bitch, a mocking reference to the ancient armour of the Royces. Rhea likewise had no love for Daemon, and they were soon estranged.”

Well, the armour certainly checks out, but other details about the character are currently under wraps. Who do you think the character from the recent leaks is? Tell us in the comments below!

Recent leaks from the set of House of The Dragon point at Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon’s wedding celebrations?

Published

Filming for Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is moving very swiftly, as evident from the frequent leaks we’re witnessing with every passing day. Though HBO has been mum about revealing any more info about the show, these periodic leaks are causing waves of excitement amongst the fans, as they’re left wondering and speculating who’s who in the new set pictures. Here’s one of the theories we have been pondering about looking at the most recent leaks, the crew of House of The Dragon is gearing up for a tourney being held for Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon’s wedding celebrations.

Theo Nate to play Laenor Velaryon in Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon

There are plenty of factors that point towards the above conclusion. One, in the last few days, we have seen a few leaks showing a young Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon taking a walk together on a beach. Two, we recently had more pictures of Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen filming on set, one in Royal costume and the newest ones in Targaryen battle gear. Props for his dragon Caraxes were not spotted as well, and since he mostly rides Caraxes for a battle, it seems more than likely that he’s donning the armour for a tourney.

Also, there were pictures of a Targaryen camp being set up, close to the place where Daemon Targaryen was spotted in costume. There are not many soldiers in the view, so it doesn’t seem to be like a preparation for war.

However, one of the flaws to the theory is that in the book, the tourney was held at King’s Landing, while all the shots above have been taken close to a beach. Tell us about your theories in the comments below!
