As the second season of House of the Dragon airs later this year, Game of Thrones fans are eagerly awaiting its release. Apart from the Targaryen civil war, there are other spinoffs that have managed to keep fans on their toes. Not so long ago, HBO announced the second prequel series, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight.” We finally have confirmed casting news for the show.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight casts Dunk and Egg
The Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight will be adapting George R. R. Martin’s Dunk and Egg novellas. HBO has recently made an announcement on their X channel about the main characters. Peter Claffey has been cast as Ser Duncan the Tall and Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg (Aegon Targaryen).

David Zaslav discloses The Hedge Knight’s release window
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight has generated a lot of buzz ever since it was revealed. CEO David Zaslav of Warner Bros. Discovery discussed the anticipated release schedule for the forthcoming prequel on the company’s most recent earnings call. He stated:
“George R.R. Martin is in pre-production for the new spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which will premiere in late 2025 on Max.”
