Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 "The Bells" becomes the lowest rated episode of the show

As far as ratings go, Game of Thrones hasn’t been having a very good Season 8. While the public opinion on the show remains split, the reviews ratings have been dropping with every episode, and with the latest episode, Season 8 episode 5 “The Bells“, the show hit its lowest rating yet. Read on!

The first two episodes of the show did pretty well, with a rating of 92% and 88% respectively. However, with the third episode “The Long Night”, the show took a dip with the ratings, going down to 75%, which is low by the show’s standard, having 22 episodes at 100%. This put the episode at the second lowest rated spot, a record that was broken by the following episode “The Last of the Starks”, with a 57% rating, claiming the second-lowest spot. This fall made Season 8 the lowest rated season of the show, as well.

However, “The Bells” has now gone on to score a rating of 49%, which makes it the lowest rated Game of Thrones episode of all time, according to Rotten Tomatoes. They had posted the following photo on their Instagram account and at that time, the episode had a rating of 54% but it plunged further by the end of the day:

The fans have mostly been complaining about the rushed scenes, which makes sense, given there was too much plot in too little time. What did you guys think of the episode? Talk to us in the comments, down below!

Arya was the only 5 star, she has become the Goddess of War, saving grace, in an otherwise dismal season..

Do these ratings account for people DVRing or on demand? I really can’t imagine fans of the show giving up on the show and not watching the final season.

Iwan Rheon aka Ramsay Bolton of Game of Thrones joins the cast of American Gods

Iwan Rheon, famous for his portrayal of Ramsay Bolton in the show Game of Thrones, is all set to join the cast of American Gods. While the release date of American Gods third season isn’t out yet, we know for sure that Rheon will feature in the show in its latest season. According to the a report by Entertainment Weekly, the Game of Thrones star will be playing “a charming, good-natured leprechaun” character named Liam Doyle.

Iwan Rheon aka Ramsay Bolton of Game of Thrones joins the cast of American Gods

What? Hang on a minute! A charming, good-natured character? The man who portrayed the most inhuman, insensitive and sadistic character of all time will be acting all goody goody in the upcoming show?

Sometimes some characters leave such a large imprint on audience psyche that it becomes impossible for actors to break away from it. We hope for Rheon’s sake that he manages to create another great character.

As per the network, Rheon’s latest character will be introduced as someone trying to steer away from the cliched leprechaun image – ‘until he finds himself swept back into our world of gods, luck, and magic’. The show will also feature the likes of Marilyn Manson, Danny Trejo and Dominique Jackson.

The challenge for Rheon and the rest of the cast of Game of Thrones, as they begin to disperse into other ventures, is going to be how they manage to satisfy the artists within them along with staying relevant. For now, we can only wait and watch.

Well, what do you guys think about this announcement? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Kit Harington grabs the only Golden Globes 2020 nomination for Game of Thrones Season 8

Game of Thrones might have been the king at the Emmy’s, but when it comes to the Golden Globes it has always been snubbed. It might not be fair to say that it was snubbed this year, as Kit Harington has grabbed the only nomination for the final season of the show at the 2020 Golden Globes. Read on!

The nominations for the 2020 70th Golden Globe awards were announced today, and while HBO managed to get 15 nominations, only one of them was for Game of Thrones. Kit Harington, who played the role of Jon Snow on the show managed to grab a nomination in the best actor in a drama series.

The show has previously grabbed multiple best drama nominations, and a couple of actor nominations to Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey. Dinklage is the only winner, having received the supporting actor in a series, miniseries or motion picture made for television, back in 2012.

While Dinklage won the Best Actor Emmy for the year, he wasn’t the choice for this nomination. Given the fact that Kit Harington was considered might be surprising for some, but he might make it.

The 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be hosted by Ricky Gervais, and will be held on Sunday, January 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT. Do you think Kit could win this one? Talk to us in the comments, down below!

Game of Thrones complete series Blu-ray set is here in time for the holidays!

It’s that time of the year, and HBO has a little something for those of us that still love Game of Thrones enough. Nearly half a year after the end of the show, HBO is now bringing the whole series out on Blu-ray, just in time for the holidays. Read on!

You might remember the frenzy that everybody entered a couple of days ago when the official Game of Thrones Twitter account tweeted out “Winter is Coming”, but it turns out that this was just a warning that millions of Game of Thrones fans can now get their hearts broken, again, from the comfort of their homes. Check the announcement tweet, below:

This marks the arrival of the complete series on optical disks, with a total of three sets — a normal Blu-ray set, a DVD set, and a collector’s edition Blu-ray set. The normal Blu-ray is priced at $199.99, the DVD set at $169.99, and the collector’s edition at $249.95. For now, the sets are open for preorders, and you can find the links to your preferred retailer, here. The sets will be available on the 3rd of December.

The one issue seems to be that these are not 4K HDR Blu-ray prints, which isn’t really acceptable in 2019. So far, only Season 1 has gotten the 4K HDR treatment, and there is no clue about when we might get to see a 4K HDR Blu-ray set.

So, planning on getting the Game of Thrones disc sets as a gift? Let us know in the comments, down below. Happy holiday season!
