When and how does Bran Stark die?
The Starks are the main focal point of Game of Thrones. They are the major POV characters, and each of the Stark children is special in their own way. After their father Ned Stark’s death, all of them had to go through a lot of tragedies. They lost their mother, their home, and some of them even lost their lives. Out of all of them, Bran’s story is perhaps the most tragic and intriguing.
Later named Bran the Broken as he was left crippled after Jaime pushes him off of the highest tower in Winterfell, he goes on to play an important role in the story. He has a special ability called warging, which allows him to take control of a sentient being for a brief period of time. After meeting the 3-Eyed-Raven, he even learns to look into the past.

Who is Bran Stark?
Brandon “Bran” Stark is the fourth child and second son of Eddard and Catelyn Stark. As the new Three-Eyed Raven, Bran is a warg and a greenseer. In the end, he was anointed as the Six Kingdoms’ first chosen monarch. He was once hurled from a tall tower by Jaime after he saw him having sex with Cersei, his sister and Queen. Since then, he has been rendered incapable of moving, yet over time, he gains the ability to warg and see.
Does Bran Stark die in Game of Thrones?
Over the course of eight seasons of Game of Thrones, Bran Stark has several brushes with death. The first time he’s left comatose and crippled when he is thrown off by Jaime in Season 1, the second time his mother Catelyn and his direwolf Summer save him from an attack from an assassin.
In Season 2 Episode 8 “The Prince of Winterfell”, after Theon occupies Winterfell, Bran and Rickon escape. Theon knows as long as a Stark is in Winterfell, he can’t truly rule over the seat of the North. So he orchestrates their deaths by burning alive two farmer’s boys, and spreads the rumors that he killed Bran and Rickon.
In Season 7 Episode 4, after Bran is safely brought back to Winterfell with Meera Reed, the two have a heart-to-heart where Bran reveals he is no longer himself, but the 3-Eyed Raven. Meera too reflects that indeed, the real Bran died in the 3-Eyed Raven’s cave, and tearfully leaves. So it can be said Bran Stark metaphorically died and was reborn as the 3 Eyed Raven.
Will Bran Stark appear in House of the Dragon?
House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. Therefore, there’s hardly any possibility of him being in the prequel show, unless he uses his abilities to look into the past for some reason.
