House of the Dragon cinematographer Catherine Goldschmidt joins The Last of Us Season 2

House of the Dragon and The Last of Us were the two shows that highlighted HBO’s programming for 2023. While the second season of House of the Dragon is soon to arrive, that of The Last of Us will take a bit more time due to being hit by the strikes last year. And there’s good news for The Last of Us fans, as an esteemed House of the Dragon cinematographer has just joined their ranks.

Catherine Goldschmidt to collaborate with Emmy-winning director in The Last of Us

Fans loved Catherine Goldschmidt’s work in House of the Dragon Season 1 Episode 8, and has also worked on the upcoming Season 2. She is now working with director Mark Mylod (Succession, Game of Thrones) on Season 2 of The Last of Us.  Goldschmidt will be behind the camera for three episodes:2,4 and 7, as reported by Wake the Dragon.

Another intriguing casting decision for The Last of Us Season 2 has surfaced following the announcement of Isabela Merced as Dina. The Last of Us Season 2 cast has reportedly added actress Catherine O’Hara, who is well-known for her comedic roles in Schitt’s Creek and Home Alone. But for now, little is known about her role.
