Disney confirms and reveals Kit Harington's role for Marvel Cinematic Universe's The Eternals

Game of Thrones actors seem to be making the most of the popularity that the show brought to them. The latest actor to enter a giant franchise post-Thrones is Kit Harington, aka Jon Snow. Earlier, we reported that Kit was joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but now we not only have an official confirmation but more details about his role. Read on!

As you might know, Disney is currently holding the D23 Expo, which is a showcase for its projects, especially upcoming ones. Hidden among the plethora of projects announced, mostly for Disney+, was a small casting announcement that came from MCU chief Kevin Feige. He announced Kit Harington as a cast member for MCU’s The Eternals, and Kit will be playing the role of Dane Whitman, aka the Black Knight!

The Eternals, set for release on November 6, 2020, was announced recently with a star-studded cast, which included none other than Richard Madden, who played Robb Stark on Thrones. Now Kit has joined the cast. Black Knight isn’t one of the Eternals but is a pretty important character in the comics, which means that we will see Kit’s brooding self in the MCU for a while. Looks like we might end up getting more Robb/Jon interaction through the MCU than we ever did on Game of Thrones.

What do you guys think? Excited to see the Stark brothers reunite in the MCU? Tell us in the comments, down below!

Kit Harington to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Game of Thrones starts seem to be finding themselves in all sorts new projects, but the latest rumor might be the grandest of them all. Kit Harington, who played the role of Jon Snow, is said to be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, aka the MCU. Read on!

The news, while still technically a rumor as of now, comes from a report from Deadline. Apparently sources have confirmed that Kit Harington will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was not a part of the official announcement of the next phase of the MCU, which was revealed recently. However, with the D23 expo currently going on, a lot of new announcements are coming from Disney this week. While the report says no more details are known as of now, an official announcement might come from D23 before the end of the expo. Not to forget, Kit will be joining his ‘brother’ Richard Madden, who has been announced to be a part of MCU’s The Eternals.

Now, there is no shortage of projects in MCU to accommodate new actors, especially leads, with many of the former lead actors either moving on, or getting close to the end of their MCU stints. We could see Kit become one of the new faces of the MCU. However it’s also possible he plays one of the smaller characters or villains in one of the already announced films. For now, the fan favourite choice seems to be Adam Warlock, who was teased at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

What role would you want to see Kit play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Tell us in the comments, down below!
