Game of Thrones producers 'apologized' for the tragic Hodor scene

Game of thrones is a show which is all about deaths, gore and bloodshed. So characters die very frequently on the show and fans are used to it. But after this Sunday’s episode, ‘The Door’, which showed the origins of Hodor’s name and his extremely sad demise, all the Game of Thrones fans around the world were heartbroken.

Now, the executive producers, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have apologized about the episode, but obviously not for Killing Hodor, since they are used to killing main characters (and everyone else) on the show.

So what were the producers exactly sorry for? Well, they gave an extremely heartfelt answer and said, “We’d like to apologize for Sunday’s episode, Not for killing Hodor – we kill a lot of main characters. We’ve killed 739 main characters so far. We’re sorry for all the idiots who, from now on, will be shouting ‘Hodor’ every time you go through a door. We forgot how annoying people can be. That’s our bad. We should have seen that coming. Again, so, so sorry. People are the worst.”

They basically apologized for all the trolls and memes on the internet about Hodor and every sensible person who will have to bear the trauma of seeing and hearing those memes and statements.

As a warning to such memes (and people), David even said, “We can kill people in real life, too.”

Jimmy Kimmel gives Jaime Lannister his own spin-off with Full House

Game of Thrones is over, but we still have those prequel spin-off shows coming up. However, there’s a catch, these shows won’t star any of the actors from Game of Thrones. However, Jimmy Kimmel has his own solution for this, and he has done that by putting Jaime Lannister in the Full House universe. Read on!

Full House, for those that don’t know, was a popular sitcom that ran from 1987 to 1995, starring legendary actors like Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and John Stamos. This spin-off skit that debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! has Jaime Lannister join the Full House family, replacing John Stamos’ Uncle Jessie, with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s Uncle Jaime. Called Full House Lannister, this wouldn’t be a bad spin-off for Jaime, definitely better than dying with Cersei was:

Cut. It. Off. Hilarious. Anybody who loved Full House and Game of Thrones will definitely love this one. On a related note, it would be great if Netflix’s sequel of Full House, called Fuller House, could bring Nikolaj in for a guest role.

Game of Thrones fans react to Bran Stark becoming King

Game of Thrones has always been about who ends up on the Iron Throne, and in the series finale — Season 8 episode 6, “The Iron Throne“, we got to see the Iron Throne melted down by Dragon fire.

However, we did get a new ruler for Westeros, one who was selected by all the important lords and ladies of Westeros — Bran Stark. This came out of nowhere for most fans of the show, who were expecting Jon Snow or Daenerys Targaryen to end up on the throne. The fans took to Twitter with a variety of reactions:

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 had several awe-inspiring moments to be sure. But the one that hogged all the limelight was a Starbuck cup sitting pretty in front of Daenerys Targaryen on the Winterfell high table. Fans have been pointing to Emilia Clarke as the Mother of the Starbucks Gaffe. Emilia finally addressed those accusations on Thursday and promptly passed up the blame to – wait for it – Jason Momoa!

Yep, that’s right. Khal Drogo was supposedly passing by Winterfell and sneaked in to mark his presence on the screen!

Here’s Emilia’s Instagram post ‘explaining’ the situation. Her caption read: “Did I just stumble upon the truth here?! The cup bearer does not drinketh the Starbucks tea… oh and this ain’t a spoiler just a lost wanderer coming home for a mid-filming cuppa”.

The picture shows Emilia holding a Starbucks cup and posing with Momoa and Peter Dinklage. Emilia is trying to pass off herself as the mere ‘cupbearer’ and implying it was Momoa who was actually drinking from that infamous cup when he visited the set.

The cup, in reality, was not even from Starbucks and was soon removed from the frame. But that didn’t stop everyone from making some hilarious connections. HBO offered a funny response saying: “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered a herbal tea.” Liam Cunningham (who plays Davos Seaworth on the show) brought a Starbuck cup to his interview on Conan, and claimed it found its way there “probably because Emilia drinks too much coffee.”

But now the Mother of Dragon has spoken, and have absolved herself of any blame in the whole matter. All of us plebs can go home now!
