Game of Thrones is a massive show, and has some really good characters portrayed by some really good actors. Now, as we all know, people who spoil the series deliberately to ruin others’ experience, get a lot of hate from us fans. However, lately even some stars have been bashing the part poopers. You might remember Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) talking about how the leaks were childish, and now Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth on the show, has talked up about the same.
In an an interview with John Kelly from Ireland’s Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTE), Cunningham had some hard words for the leaksters :
“They’re low-lifers. In Spain, we were being live streamed while we were filming, from drones. Everything we’ve done has been infiltrated, which is terrible.”
He also talked about how the show’s surprise element makes it fun. He said :
“I’ve seen these cynical critics go ‘Oh my God did you see that last week?’ and suddenly the inner child comes out in them because they’ve been outwitted, and they love it! It’s what we pay for. I like it as well, when I am reading the scripts I go ‘oh you’ve gotta be, you’re sh****ng me’ and I love that.”
Liam Cunningham also talked about how his character, Ser Davos, had developed over the years :
“My part has expanded significantly as it’s gone on…There’s so many morally ambivalent characters and morally grey areas about this, you need a couple of characters on the show to kind of go, ‘What the f**k are we doing here? This is completely wrong.’ They need to speak up for the audience.”
Cunningham did talk about quite a few things apart from the ones we have mentioned. You can listen to the full podcast, here.
Liam Cunningham will return as Ser Davos, when Game of Thrones Season 7 hits on July 16th. In the meantime, talk to us in the comments, below!
