HBO has released the plot descriptions for Game of Thrones season 6 episodes 4 and 5 and they are as cryptic as possible. This season the episode descriptions are getting very vague and fans are spending lot of time thinking what they might mean.
Plot description for 4th episode, “Book of the Stranger” :
“Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) strikes a deal. Jorah (Iain Glen) and Daario (Michiel Huisman) undertake a difficult task. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Cersei (Lena Headey) try to improve their situation.”
Plot description for 5th episode, “The Door“:
“Tyrion seeks a strange ally. Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) learns a great deal. Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) goes on a mission. Arya (Maisie Williams) is given a chance to prove herself.”
These episode names and their plot titles are vague and ambiguous and they can have various interpretations and as we saw from the 1st episode of this season which was titled, The Red Woman, the actual meaning can be something entirely different. For the first episode, fans speculated that Melisandre would try to resurrect Jon Snow as the episode was named after her but in the end we learned about her secret in the episode, rather than witnessing the resurrection, which happened in the next episode.
For the 4th episode, reading the descriptions it’s tough to speculate what might happen with Tyrion but we can speculate that Jorah and Daario follow Daenerys to Vaes Dothrakh and plan to rescue her from the Dothraki, which is going to be a difficult task. The description for Jaime and Cersei’s story is very vague and it might involve improving the situation with respect to the problem that has been posed by the High Sparrow.
For the 5th episode, the strange ally might be the Red Priestess whom we have seen in the clips for season 6. It will be interesting to know what new piece of information Bran learns or any skill that we don’t know about yet. In the upcoming episode, Bran is going to witness the Tower of Joy scene in his vision and it is going to be really important. So it might be possible that he might learn something about the Night’s King. Brienne’s mission is something that seems vague right now and Arya might be given another task to prove that finally she has become “no one“.
Important thing to be noted is that there is no mention of Jon Snow in any of these descriptions even though Kit Harington has said that Jon Snow has a major role in this season.
The 3rd Game of Thrones season 6 episode airs this Sunday at 9 PM.
