It’s not even Game of Thrones season time but the fans of the show can’t just stop thinking about their favourite show or the amazing characters in it. The residents of Belfast were in for a surprise when they came across a beautiful mural of Jon Snow at the Belfast City Centre.
Belfast Live has reported that the mural has been painted on North Street, just opposite Aether and Echo and the man responsible for it is a street artist named Dean Kane of Visual Waste. Take a look at the video below.
Belfast Live spoke with Dean and this is what he had to say about the mural:
“I was chatting to Gerard [McGlade] who runs the Game of Thrones tours and he had said it would be brilliant if I could paint something Game of Thrones orientated because obviously it’s a huge tourism point for Belfast and it has a huge following.”
He further explained why he choose Jon Snow for creating the mural.
“So I painted Jon Snow and it’s from one of the scenes in the series called ‘Battle of the Bastards’.”But the location is North Street and he is also known as the King of the North so it’s kind of playing on that location as well. In all my pieces I like to have sort of a story behind the image as well.”
