As the filming of Season 7 of Game of Thrones continues in Spain, HBO seems to be keeping the fandom alive in a couple of ways till the show returns. Previously, we had reported about a behind the scenes fan tour by HBO, and now, it looks like HBO has more than just that, for its fans.
Some of you might remember the Game of Thrones themed beer, and now HBO is releasing Game of Thrones themed wines, in partnership with Vintage Wine Estates. The wines will go on sale from Spring 2017.
The line-up will have three different varieties of wines, available in 750ml bottles.
The Chardonnay, priced at $19.99
The Cabranet Sauvignon, priced at $39.99.
The red wine variant, priced at $19.99.
The decision to roll out a range of wines is a rather fitting move from HBO, as fans like us, obsessed with the series and working out theories and speculations while waiting for the next season to drop, can finally say the phrase “That’s what I do, I drink and I know things,” and truly mean it.
Talking about the wines, the Director of Licensing and Retail, HBO, Jeff Peters, said :
“Given the prominent role of wine on Game of Thrones and our previous success in the beverage category, an officially licensed wine for the show feels like a natural extension for our fans. Game of Thrones wines most definitely will add to the fan experience as the battle for the Iron Throne heats up heading into the final seasons.”
True that! How many of you are planning to get one of these when they arrive? Tell us in the comments, below!
