Game of Thrones Season 8 is currently filming, and while we have seen a lot of the stuff happening on set, we are still getting new information, which didn’t seem possible. Today we have information that confirms that Game of Thrones will return to a previously seen castle in Season 8. SPOILER ALERT! Consider yourself warned!
So, now that we’ve warned you about the spoilers, the castle set to make a comeback, is castillo de Almodóvar del Río, which has stood in as Highgarden before. The news comes from Spanish news portal, Cordópolis, and says that the castle will make a comeback in Season 8. However, there is a bit of a catch. The production won’t actually go to the castle for filming, but rather use footage from Season 7 that didn’t make it to the screen. So we probably won’t see a full blown scene with the castle in it, but rather a glimpse. There’s a good chance it’s shown as a precursor to a scene set indoors.

Like you might remember, the last we saw the castle, we got the death scene of Lady Olenna Tyrell. Might be a similar set-up, because that was an indoor scene, and it wasn’t filmed at castillo de Almodóvar del Río, but rather at an indoors set at Titanic Studios, so there’s a chance we’ll see a similar indoor scene.
Or maybe Bronn finally gets his castle. That’s a possibility too. What do you guys think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
