Writer Mattson Tomlin provides an update on Aegon’s Conquest spinoff show

Another prequel is being developed as we wait for Season 2 of HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon. Currently in production is an HBO prequel about Aegon I Targaryen’s invasion of Westeros. The casting for the show, which is yet to be announced, has fans giddy with excitement. There has been some positive development with the scripts as well.
Mattson Tomlin teases Aegon’s Conquest
The Aegon’s Conquest spinoff for Game of Thrones is finally moving forward after several setbacks. Additionally, Mattson Tomlin, the writer of The Batman Part II, has been assigned to develop the project. According to an insider, HBO is rewriting the Aegon the Conqueror plot in a way that goes “back to basics.” Tomlin recently shared a picture of George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood with the caption: “I’ve got a pretty sick job.”

Henry Cavill remains the popular choice for Aegon the Conqueror
Fans have been fan-casting for Aegon, Visenya, and Rhaenys on social media ever since the news of Aegon’s Conquest spinoff surfaced. And the only actor who fans want to play Aegon Targaryen is Henry Cavill, the DCEU’s Superman, and star of The Witcher, according to posts on the internet.
