When it comes to fantasy, very few come close to the amazing world-building ability of George R. R. Martin. One of the most fabled stories in the world of Westeros that Martin has ever written is of course the legendary conquest of Aegon, the Conqueror. And with a bit of luck and quality, that fable has a good chance of making it to the TV screens.

Fans want Henry Cavill to star as Aegon, the Conqueror

Ever since the news leaked about Aegon’s Conquest spinoff, fans all over social media began fan-casting for Aegon, Visenya, and Rhaenys. And all over the internet, there is only one actor fans want as Aegon Targaryen – The Witcher star and DCEU’s Superman Henry Cavill.

Does Henry Cavill want to enter the world of Westeros?

Cavill recently appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast and addressed the issue, “To be fair, when I was watching House of the Dragon, I was like ‘I feel like a lot of these guys could make really good Witchers.” I think it would be cool to be in Westeros, I really do. I don’t think there’s a place for me in there, though.”

What are the fans saying on Twitter?

Here are some of the posts that show how badly fans want Henry Cavill to play Aegon the Conqueror.
