A dragonseed made a catch-and-miss appearance in House of the Dragon Season 2. During the scene where all the ratcatchers are hanged, a drunk character walking out of a pub can be seen. The man is Ulf White, played by Tom Bennett, a dragonseed who would go on to claim Alysanne Targaryen’s dragon Silverwing.

Alyn of Hull is reunited with his brother, Addam

One of the more positive scenes in the second episode of House of the Dragon was the reunion of brothers, Addam and Alyn. Addam of Hull, the more adventurous and cheerful of the two, will go on to play a major role in Dance of the Dragons, joining Rhaenyra’s side and claiming Laenor’s dragon, Seasmoke. Addam has been rumored to be a bastard of Laenor or Corlys in Fire & Blood, just like his brother.

Alyn and Addam’s mother Marilda claimed that her children’s father was Laenor Velaryon. However, due to Laenor’s preference for romantic partners, there were doubts cast on this claim. Many claimed that they were not actually Laenor’s sons but the sons of Corlys Velaryon, and Corlys was known to frequent the town of Hull. Also in the show, the two brothers are shown to be much older than the book lore says, which makes them more likely to be Corlys’ sons rather than Laenor’s.

Addam claimed the dragon Seasmoke, which once belonged to Laenor Velaryon. Later, Lord Corlys requested Queen Rhaenyra to legitimize both brothers. She did, and Addam of Hull became Addam Velaryon, the Sea Snake’s heir and the future Lord of Driftmark.

Furthermore, Eve Best, who plays Rhaenys has said in a recent interview that her relationship with Corlys “is starting to fracture,” saying that “Something comes up from their past that is a deep, deep, deep wound.” This could be hinting at Corlys’ infidelity surfacing, revealing he fathered Addam and Alyn.

Addam will play a crucial role in the Dance of the Dragons. When King’s Landing fell, Addam was one of the dragonriders that stayed back to defend the city, living in the Dragonpit along with Seasnake, supporting Rhaenyra.
