Speaking to Deadline, Best spoke about the physical challenges of stunt performances, specifically dragon riding. She also discussed the change in the relationship between Rhaenys and her husband, Lord Corlys Velaryon. Best stated:
“Well, there was the physical craziness of doing a lot more dragon riding, which is always a bit of a physical challenge for me because it’s not my… I wouldn’t say it’s my happy place, although it’s fun in its own crazy way. I was proud of myself that I survived it. But there’s also as characters, I think what was very significant for both me and Steve is that our characters who had been in season one such a support and rock for each other. And now that relationship is starting to fracture. And I think Rhaenys is feeling a lot more vulnerable. Something comes up from their past that is a deep, deep, deep wound. And it’s breaking them a little bit. And it’s agony to feel like she’s losing that support, that love, that relationship. It’s shaking.”
