Naomi Watts was cast as ‘Morven’, a Casterly, in canceled Game of Thrones prequel Bloodmoon
The Weirwood trees’ roots are spreading farther and wider throughout Westeros. HBO has a number of spinoffs in production, the first of which is confirmed to be House of the Dragon, and is eager to explore Godswood and beyond.
However, there was one that preceded the Targaryen saga, the prequel series called Bloodmoon. A few more details about the scrapped-off series have recently made headlines.
Naomi Watts’ character was called Morven in ‘Bloodmoon’
As seen in the images that were released in the last couple of days, Watts was seen wearing a lavish attire. Her pictures appeared to have been taken in a hall of Casterly Rock. Looking at the hype that the images created, storyboard artist Adam Pescott, who worked on Bloodmoon and also worked on House of the Dragon, released several etchings from the canceled prequel. One of them showed the name of Watts’ character, called Morven.
Bloodmoon reportedly featured a wedding between a Stark and a Casterly

A number of images from the canceled Game of Thrones spinoff Bloodmoon have been making the rounds on social media lately. After connecting the dots, a novel theory has emerged. There is a theory that the play included a marriage ceremony at Casterly Rock between ancient Starks and Casterlys. It was unclear which Casterly noble actress Naomi Watts was set to portray, until now.
