“Narnia” star Georgie Henley could’ve played a Stark princess in canceled Game of Thrones spinoff, Bloodmoon
In the endless realm of possibilities, Game of Thrones spinoffs are as complex and widespread as the roots of the Weirwood tree. However, no matter how badly the fans and George R. R. Martin want, not all of them will spread out to our TV screens. Fans had to wait a long time before the first prequel, House of the Dragon, was finally released in 2022. However, there was another spinoff, that was canceled. A prequel that preceded them all, an HBO original with the working title ‘Bloodmoon‘.
Quite recently, some more juicy details about the scrapped-off prequel have come to light. And one, about a Stark princess, might blow your mind! Although, proceed with caution, as this information hasn’t been completely verified, since the proof at hand it rather… blurry.
Georgie Henley played a Stark Princess in Bloodmoon
Being a Game of Thrones spinoff, we can expect the project to have a cast comprising highly talented actors. And that was one of the shining features of Bloodmoon. Headed by major industry names – Naomi Watts of King Kong, Jamie Campbell Bower who later achieved fame with Stranger Things, The Chronicles of Narnia star Georgie Henley, and more – the show held a lot of expectations on its shoulders. What’s even more intriguing is the fact Henley had a role quite like Lucy Pevensie from her Narnia films.
According to a recent report by Wake the Dragon and pictures collected by the now-defunct Watchers on the Wall, Georgie Henley was supposed to play a Stark Princess. Though her complete face is not visible, her hair matches that of a Stark, and her attire reflects her noble/royal lineage. Henley’s character was reportedly being married to a Lannister in Bloodmoon, though the name of her intended spouse from the show hasn’t been revealed yet.
Other pictures from the canceled Game of Thrones prequel
The theory about a Stark being wed to a Lannister in shelved Game of Thrones prequel Bloodmoon has been in the air for quite some time. However, after the recent leaks, it has gained more traction on the internet. Some more pictures from the set have resurfaced recently, which you can view below:
