Born and brought up in Bristol, England, her birthday falls on 15th April 1997 and since childhood, her interests lie in music, theatre, and gymnastics. Maisie Williams’s height is 1.55m or 5 feet 1 inch tall.

Williams grew up in Somerset, England, and showed interest in performing arts. She attended Clutton Primary School and Norton Hill School, where she participated in school plays and drama productions. Despite facing challenges with dyslexia, Williams remained determined to pursue acting.

Williams’ performance as Arya Stark earned her multiple award nominations, including Primetime Emmy Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her character’s journey from a tomboyish child to a skilled assassin resonated deeply with audiences and solidified her status as a bonafide actor.

Maisie was born in Bristol to Gary Williams (father) and Hilary Frances (mother), a university course administrator who later gave up her job to support her daughter’s acting career. The youngest of four siblings, Williams was raised by her mother and stepfather in a three-bedroom council house in the village of Clutton, Somerset.

She was later transferred to Bath Dance College to study performing arts, where she trained in musical theatre, ballet, pointe, tap, street, gymnastics, etc., with the ambition of becoming a professional dancer.

Post the success of Game of Thrones, she explored different acting mediums as well. In 2016, she made her stage debut in the critically acclaimed play “The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾,” portraying the character Pandora. It mostly received positive reviews for her performance.

In 2015, Williams’ other notable television appearances include Ashildr in the BBC science fiction series Doctor Who, a British docudrama television film Cyberbully, and the British science-fiction teen thriller film iBoy.

In 2020, Williams played the central character in the comedy action drama miniseries Two Weeks to Live. She also portrayed punk rock icon Jordan in Pistol, a biopic about the Sex Pistols for which she received critical acclaim and several awards.

She co-starred in films such as the romantic period-drama film Mary Shelley, the animated prehistorical sports comedy film Early Man, and the romantic comedy-drama film Then Came You (2018)

However, she has been juggling between acting and producing films, but her lineup of upcoming projects looks promising. Maisie Williams’ latest release, The New Look, has already been released in February 2024 and is geared for a second season shortly.

In 2019, Williams jointly developed and launched the social media platform Daisie. A multi-media networking app designed to be an alternative means to help artists and creators, especially those who are trying to get started in their careers.

Williams is also an outspoken advocate for various social and environmental causes. She has used her platform to raise awareness about issues such as climate change, mental health, and gender equality, actively engaging with her followers and supporting charitable organizations.
