Game of Thrones fans are eagerly awaiting the debut of House of the Dragon‘s second season later this year. Apart from the Targaryen civil war, there are other spinoffs that have had viewers on the edge of their seats. A few months ago, HBO unveiled “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight,” the second prequel series. We now have a release window for the show’s expected arrival.

Ever since its announcement, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight has created a lot of hype. During Warner Bros. Discovery’s latest earnings call, CEO David Zaslav also talked about the expected release window of the upcoming prequel. He said (via IGN):

“George R.R. Martin is in pre-production for the new spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which will premiere in late 2025 on Max.”

Given the release window, we can expect House of the Dragon and The Hedge Knight to take turns, airing alternatively one year after the other.

The Hedge Knight adds three more names to the crew

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight’s production is about to get underway. HBO is assembling a group of some of the best industry professionals to write the next prequel. A new leak claims that Hiram Martinez (Snowpiercer), Annie Julia Wyman (Tokyo Vice), and Aziza Barnes (Snowfall) have joined the cast of The Hedge Knight. For the program, they have been brought in to serve as co-producers and writers.
