Game of Thrones prequel The Hedge Knight adds three more writers/producers
HBO has been discussing expanding the Martinverse even prior to the conclusion of the first series, so the idea of Game of Thrones spinoffs has been around for a while. While some have been abandoned, others are still at different stages of production. A prequel series would be based on George R. R. Martin‘s Dunk & Egg novels is now on the way, and there has been some development on that front.
Three more writers/producers join The Hedge Knight
The production of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight will be beginning very soon. HBO is gathering up a team of some of the most talented industry experts to craft the upcoming prequel. According to a recent scoop by the Wake the Dragon X account, Annie Julia Wyman (Tokyo Vice), Aziza Barnes (Snowfall) and Hiram Martinez (Snowpiercer) have joined The Hedge Knight crew. They have been called as writers as well as co-producers for the show.

The Hedge Knight to begin production in June
Filming on the next Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, is scheduled to start in Belfast, Northern Ireland, this summer. A recent report indicates that the production will start on June 03, 2024. The official synopsis reads:
“Before Game of Thrones, Ser Duncan the Tall, a brave but inexperienced knight, and his small squire, Egg, roamed Westeros during the Targaryen era. Their adventures feature great destinies, formidable enemies, and daring escapades in a time when dragons still roamed and Targaryens ruled.”
