“Lot of pressure” for House of the Dragon Season 2, says Olivia Cooke in new cast video featurette

After King Viserys I Targaryen’s calm reign ended in Season 1, the realm is about to fall into war in Season 2 of House of the Dragon, which promises an inflow of new characters and the return of old ones. In addition to delving further into the massive struggle known as the Dance of the Dragons, this forthcoming season will present us with new sets that were not there in Season 1.

House of the Dragon cast recalls returning for Season 2

As the release date for House of the Dragon Season 2 slowly rolls closer, the hype meter is up by several levels. The cast too was hyped when they were called in for Season 2, with several of them recalling as seen in the new featurette:

Olivia Cooke: It feels like there is a lot of pressure to be back for Season 2. 

Emma D’Arcy: Yeah, it is nerve-racking. But very quickly, there’s, like a deep familiarity, right? Like we’ve never been away.

Matt Smith: It’s good to be back in the saddle.

House of the Dragon Season 2 is set 10 days after Season 1 finale

New information on the narrative of House of the Dragon Season 2 is emerging as fans anxiously await its June release. At the CCXP Mexico, Steve Toussaint, who portrays Corlys Velaryon, stated the following during a Q&A session:

“Season 2 begins about 10 days after Season 1. And so, for Corlys, he’s still coming to terms with the grief of losing his son, his brother, his daughter and his heir, his grandson. So he’s trying to deal with that, plus hold on to one thing that’s the most dear, his relationship with his wife.”
