Excitement is in the air as the third season of House of the Dragon gears up to start filming this year. Fans of the Game of Thrones prequel series are on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the continuation of the Targaryen saga. As production ramps up, speculation is rife about the release date and filming locations for the upcoming season. And Rhys Ifans, who plays Otto Hightower, added fuel to the fire wth his witty comment.

House of the Dragon Season 3 will arrive in 25 years?

Despite playing aserious character on the show, Rhys Ifans is often decribed as the funniest among his castmates. In a recent interview with ScreenRant, the actor showed off his witty side, joking about the potential release date:

“I don’t know, but I can smell the sulfur. There’s something brewing. I can say, yeah, they start shooting soon this year, so I’m sure you’ll be able to watch it in about 25 years’ time.”

Is there a specific reason why he might’ve said this?

House of the Dragon cast are yet to receive scripts

After the whole George R.R. Martin controversy with the changes, HBO might be working on a script rewrite right now, which is why the cast hasn’t received the scripts yet. Tom Glynn-Carney, who portrays Aegon, recently confirmed that he hasn’t received the scripts yet. This sentiment was echoed earlier by Matt Smith and Fabien Frankel. Consequently, it seems that fans might have to wait a bit longer for the arrival of House of the Dragon Season 3.
