House of the Dragon cast members confirm they have received Season 3 scripts

During MEGACON Orlando, Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen) and Fabien Frankel (Ser Criston Cole) spoke to fans about the upcoming season. During the event, Smith revealed that he had received multiple scripts for House of the Dragon Season 3, confirming that production is moving forward smoothly.

Smith shared that episodes three, five, and six had just been sent to the cast members. He also said he had read the script for episodes one to three, suggesting that the writing process is well underway. This indicates that the creative team has mapped out the season and is preparing for filming to begin in early 2025.

Unlike some shows that start filming before all scripts are finalized, this update suggests that House of the Dragon will enter production with a clear vision. This is an encouraging sign, especially given the mixed reactions to Season 2, which faced criticism over pacing and episode count.

The series has been a major success for HBO, and its continuation is a top priority. With Season 3 scripts in the hands of the cast, fans can expect more updates soon as the production gears up for the next chapter in the Targaryen saga.
