Game of Thrones’ Hannah Waddingham wants to play James Bond’s boss
Actress Hannah Waddingham won several accolades and was acknowledged as the greatest presenter in the history of the competition after recently co-hosting the Eurovision with Graham Norton. She is well known to fans of Game of Thrones as the infamous “shame” nun who accompanied Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) on her “Walk of Shame.” Waddingham now has her eyes set on another role, which now might make her the favorite of another franchise.
Hannah Waddingham is interested in playing secret agent M, but with a twist
James Bond is a wildly popular series with fans all over the world, much like Game of Thrones. With a new adaptation on the horizon, the series will see a new face as the titular 007 agent after Daniel Craig’s departure. However, there’s also a chance other key characters might be recast, including M who has been played by Ralph Fiennes historically. In a recent chat with BBC Radio 1, Waddingham expressed her desire to portray the character:
“I would love that but she’d have to be called H. … I know [Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have] had this thing going on with M…”
Hannah Waddingham wows the audience with her beautiful voice
In the Apple+ smash Ted Lasso, Waddingham plays Rebecca Welton. She recently joined other cast members at the Grammy Museum for The Music Behind Ted Lasso. Alongside singer Sam Ryder for Eurovision 2022, she mounted the stage and won over the audience with her beautiful voice.
