Last month, HBO started filming A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, another Game of Thrones prequel based on George R.R. Martin’s short stories. There was no official confirmation from HBO, but the author himself confirmed that the filming is taking place in Belfast. While the announcement has been low-key, some leaksters sneaked through the filming set and posted a 35-second-long video on X (previously known as Twitter).

When Game of Thrones was being filmed, the makers followed some interesting strategies to prevent filming leaks, including using drone killers and bringing in decoy actors to trick leakers. But that’s certainly not the case with House of the Dragon season 2, as the filming leak accurately predicted that it might feature The Wall. Now, a leak of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has surfaced, though fortunately for the makers, it doesn’t give away anything that can spoil the narrative.

So, what does the leak show, you ask? Well, it shows a distant view of the filming, which makes it difficult to spot any specific details. All we can see is a bunch of cars and possibly cast and crew members. The filming was happening near the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland. For those who aren’t aware, this is the same range of mountains used as filming locations for Game of Thrones.

When will A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms be released?

Fans glue their eyes to the TV screen when a new House of the Dragon Season 2 episode premiers each Sunday. But the good news is the wait isn’t long after House of the Dragon Season 2 ends. Martin confirmed that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will premiere in early 2025.
