HBO is broadening the Martinverse with planned spinoffs, a strategy set in motion well before the end of Game of Thrones. While some projects have been canceled, others are progressing through different development stages. The prequel series derived from George R.R. Martin’s Dunk & Egg novels is in production, featuring notable new cast members.

Patrick McBrearty and Danny Collins join The Hedge Knight

After an initial preview, more details about the series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms have been revealed. According to a new report by Redanian Intelligence, Patrick McBrearty of The Crown will play a merchant captain, while Danny Collins (Cats) has been cast in an unknown role.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has brought on board intimacy coordinators for its upcoming season

While the narrative will primarily follow Martin’s “The Hedge Knight,” chronicling Ser Duncan the Tall and young Prince Aegon’s adventures, it will include intimate scenes. The Dunk & Egg series has appointed Nina Jamil as an intimacy coordinator according to some recent reports on the website.
