Criston Cole wears similar Hand of the King chain as Tyrion Lannister
In Game of Thrones, when Joffrey is made King, the Kingsguard has to face the Baratheon army as Stannis contests his claim to the Iron Throne. During these trying times, Tyrion served as the acting Hand of the King in Tywin’s absence. Moreover, he also fought in the battlefield albeit for a short period of time. In the end, his cunning trick saved King’s Landing from getting sacked by the Baratheon troops.
In House of the Dragon season 2 episode 3, we see Criston Cole serving as the Hand of the King as well as the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. He wears a similar chain on his armor as Tyrion did in the show. A very smart callback to Game of Thrones has fans intrigued to know and spot such similarities further.
Even though Cole will never come close to Tyrion’s far-sightedness and wit, he is trying to do the best he can to preserve the name of Aegon II and the Green faction on the whole. Only time will tell is Cole has any tricks in his pocket as Tyrion did to win the Battle of the Blackwater Bay.
