Daeron Targaryen exists, confirms House of the Dragon in Season 2 Episode 2
No word on when we may see him, though, but he’s in Oldtown.
The sixth episode of Season 1 offered House of the Dragon viewers a look at the future Targaryen generation. Conversely, the only Targaryen prince we haven’t yet met is Daeron Targaryen. He is the youngest son of King Viserys and Queen Alicent. In the novel Fire & Blood, Daeron is acknowledged as the most compassionate of his siblings. His existence was finally acknowledged in Season 2.
House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 2 namedrops Daeron
Daeron Targaryen has been so inconspicuous in House of the Dragon, that even the actors don’t seem to know about his presence. However, he plays a major role in the Dance of the Dragons, and hence can’t be ignored. In fact, the latest episode casually namedrops him, when Otto Hightower tries to ease up Alicent by counting their forces, mentioning how she has a son in Oldtown, Daeron. We’ve had a confirmation before that he exists in the show’s timeline, but this is the first time the show acknowledges his existence.
