Kit Harington is producing Empire of Dirt, a Western thriller TV series
Kit Harington rose to prominence and has since become well-known for his role as Jon Snow on Game of Thrones. Since then, Harington’s career has taken a big step forward. In addition to appearing in the MCU, he has acted in other noteworthy anthology series.
Harington is now trying his hands at producing along with acting, and will be showing off his skills in Empire of Dirt.
Kit Harington to produce a “very British Western”
Along with developing his Jon Snow spinoff, Harington is simultaneously working on other projects. His first try at producing would be Empire of Dirt, a TV thriller described as a “very British Western”. The series is being co-produced by Daniel West’s Thriker Films and New Pictures. The cast of the series is yet to be confirmed.
What is Empire of Dirt about?
The eight-episode thriller centers on Jake, a well-known figure in the large city who, despite his reservations, goes back to his family’s Lake District property to attend his distant cousin’s wedding. He hasn’t gone home in fifteen years, but after a horrific tragedy, he finds himself in charge of his family against his will.
Later, he learns the unimaginable—that his father was operating a multimillion-pound drug trafficking operation out of a secret area of his ancestral house.
What is Empire of Dirt’s release date?
The Empire of Dirt is yet to begin filming. More details about the production and release date will be revealed as the filming commences.
