Filming for Game of Thrones spinoff The Hedge Knight to face a slight delay

Game of Thrones fans are eagerly awaiting the second season of House of the Dragon, which will arrive later this year. However, the Targaryen civil war isn’t the only spinoff that has brought the fans to the edges of their seat.
A couple of months ago, HBO announced another prequel show ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight‘. But it seems like fans will have to wait a bit longer for it to arrive.
Filming schedule of The Hedge Knight has been delayed
It was previously known that the Game of Thrones prequel based on George R. R. Martin’s Dunk and Egg novellas will begin filming in Spring 2024 in Northern Ireland.
However, as per a new report by Redanian Intelligence, The Hedge Knight will begin filming in Summer 2024, at around the same time House of the Dragon will arrive.
The Hedge Knight will have at least three seasons
Earlier in 2023, HBO’s Chief of Drama Francesca Orsi talked about the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel, and said,
“Ideally year-to-year and arcing out a three-season series, which maps out the three novellas that George wrote. Of course, we’d like more beyond that, and George is continuing to think about the remaining novellas that he still wants to write but at this point, we have our eye on three seasons that would map out each book, each novella.”
