Game of Thrones prequel ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ will begin shooting in Spring 2024

It’s the spinoff era! How is Game of Thrones supposed to fall behind when all the other shows are getting their own spinoffs? HBO adapted George R. R. Martin‘s fantasy series, which was once acclaimed as the best TV program of the twenty-first century, as a cash cow for almost ten years, and they don’t want that story to end just yet. House of The Dragon was the first of many spinoffs, and one more is on the way which will begin filming next spring.
‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight’ to begin filming in spring 2024
The recently announced prequel series, ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight’, is one of the most highly anticipated series amongst Game of Thrones fans. According to a recent report by Variety, Casey Bloys stated that he anticipates “Game of Thrones” spinoff “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight” to start filming in the spring of next year, subject to the conclusion of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, during a Q&A segment at a recent HBO event.
What is the storyline of “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight”?
The Hedge Knight will tell the tale of: “A century before the events of ‘Game of Thrones,’ two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg.”
This story takes place in a time when the Targaryen dynasty still controls the Iron Throne and people still remember the last dragon. It is full of incredible adventures, formidable enemies, and perilous situations for these unlikely and unique companions.
