UFC fighter Alexander Volkanovski says Game of Thrones finale was a let down
The tale of Game of Thrones season 8 controversy still lives in the minds of die-hard fans. It has been nearly three years since HBO’s money-making mint wrapped up filming, but people can’t stop talking about it. After all, the highly popular and record-breaking show divided its fandom with a controversial and a rather rushed-up final season. Not just the fans, but the cast of the series is split up upon the issue. There was even a petition to rewrite season 8 of Game of Thrones, and it looks like it is still going on strong.
Among the fans who were let down by the controversial finale is the famed UFC champion Alexander Volkanovski. Volkanovski is a self-proclaimed nerd, and in Alex Behunin’s Humanizing Athletes series, he recently revealed that Game of Thrones is his favorite TV show, but he was let down by the final season. He named the Harry Potter franchise his favorite movie series.
His love for the Game of Thrones franchise can be seen in the fact that during his UFC 221 fight against Jeremy Kennedy in 2018, the MMA fighter’s entry theme was the Game of Thrones title song. He won the fight via second-round TKO.
