Interview
Channing Tatum hated Khal Drogo’s death in Game of Thrones, but loved House of The Dragon
While Game of Thrones thrives on the beauty of the details of its characters, it’s also known as the show which shows no hesitation in killing off major characters. One of the earliest characters on the show that would leave you feeling a bit scarred on the inside was Khal Drogo. Daenerys Targaryen’s first lover. He was one bad-ass-looking character, and Jason Momoa completely stole the show portraying him. Now, it’s been a long time since Khal Drogo was killed off, but some of his fans are still not over the shocking demise.
One of his biggest admirers is actor Channing Tatum, who became best friends with Momoa when he started dating Zoe Kravitz, his stepdaughter, right before his break up with Lisa Bonet. In a recent episode of Vanity Fair’s Lie detector test, Tatum was asked to answer a few questions about Momoa truthfully, and this is how he answered:
Q: Out of Jason Momoa and you, who is a bigger daddy?
A: Well, he’s physically larger than I m and has more kids than me. So I think he’s the bigger daddy.
Q: Would Game of Thrones have been better if Khal Drogo survived?
A: 100%. I was pissed when he died. I wanted to see him lead an army and do the whole thing.
Q: Out of loyalty to Jason, did you not watch House of The Dragon?
A: No, I wasn’t that loyal. I liked House of The Dragon. It was fine, it was good.
