Milly Alcock thanks Game of Thrones fans for supporting House of The Dragon
Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon finished its first season last year, and it was a grand success. Not only did it smash viewership records and television ratings, but the show is also proving its mettle in the awards category as well. House of The Dragon has outperformed most of its competitors, winning The Golden Globe award for Best Drama series, and hopes are high with this year’s Emmy nominations. The overwhelming support for the prequel show is quite evident, and the cast is thankful for it.
Access Hollywood recently caught up with Milly Alcock at the Critics Choice Awards and asked what surprised her the most. She said, “It’s weird. It’s like the high school formal that I never went to. I don’t know if I was surprised but I was very happy to hear that the original fans of Game of Thrones; it felt like we didn’t let them down. So yeah I think the support from the original fans. Yeah, because it felt like it was their show that we have to be invited into and not the other way around.”
On being asked if there’s a possibility of her returning to House of The Dragon in the future, she replied, “Well, I’ve passed the baton to Emma, so it’s their story to tell now. And I’m really excited to watch them.”
