The success of Game of Thrones tempted the execs at HBO to venture forth into the mystical realm of George R. R. Martin’s novels, as a result, we have House of The Dragon, the first prequel, to be released very soon. HBO has also been playing around with several ideas that are set in the world of Westeros, and the most recent one was suggested by none other than Kit Harington, who played Jon Snow in the series.

Harington is working on a Game of Thrones sequel series aptly dubbed ‘SNOW’, with the blessings of George R. R. Martin himself. However, he recently admitted his performance in the earlier episodes of Game of Thrones was quite painful to watch.

During The Official Game of Thrones Podcast: House of the Dragon, Harington revealed, “I think any actor would find this – looking back at your early work is very painful. If I watch those early seasons of Thrones, especially season one, I’m wincing.”

He also added that he “learnt a huge amount throughout those years” and that the experience of working on a “marathon” production served him in good sted for his career. “I feel very aware of what I’m good at,” he concluded, “and that’s a very good thing to know as an actor.”
