Is Emilia Clarke in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)?

However, one of the most significant recent additions to her bright career is her entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Clarke entered the world of superheroes, alien enemies, and tech-advanced gadgets with a TV show. So, here’s everything you need to know about Emilia Clarke in Marvel’s Secret Invasion.

Emilia Clarke in Secret Invasion
It’s difficult imagining the petite Emilia Clarke in a power-packed role and that too in a realm of superheroes. Nonetheless, she took on the role with incredible zest and enthusiasm. Clarke portrayed G’iah in the latest Marvel TV show Secret Invasion. At the premiere of the show, she couldn’t believe the impact of the fandom on the show. She was amazed at the turnout.
“It’s crazy. It’s big. I mean, it’s huge. This is huge. This, for a TV show, this is ridiculous. I’m here for it! I’m definitely here for it.”
Her character G’iah belongs to the shapeshifting alien race of Skrulls who are known to take on different forms for their benefit. G’iah was picked to breed more Skrulls as she eventually raised three daughters with Klrr on Earth. In Marvel Comics, she is initially believed to be a part of the perfect American Family. Her real intentions, or rather the Skrulls’ true motives come to light. They plan on establishing dominance on the planet by infiltrating various spheres.
G’iah’s story in the MCU is slightly deviated from her character’s origin story in the comics. In Secret Invasion, we see G’iah as Talos’s daughter who is on the planet to seek refuge after the destruction of her home planet. Therefore, Captain Marvel promises the Skrulls that she will find them a new home, as we see in the eponymous movie. However, this becomes a tipping point in G’iah’s journey. She gets sick and tired of hearing humans promise things only to never come through. Furthermore, she becomes tougher after life on Earth as she sees how her kind is treated.

What is Secret Invasion about?
Like all her performances, Emilia Clarke’s Marvel debut came with a bang as she entered the scene with a great role. The show follows Nick Fury’s efforts in stopping the Skrulls from spreading across the planet. Aptly titled, the miniseries is all about the Secret Invasion launched by the alien shapeshifters. Consequently, a race against time begins with Fury and his colleague Maria Hill finding hidden plots and conspiracies that make them question everything.
