Game of Thrones celebrities are seizing some of the biggest roles in the entertainment industry out there. Many of them have been associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Game of Thrones alum Kit Harington and Richard Madden have already made their debut in the Marvel Universe with the film Eternals. Their Game of Thrones co-star Emilia Clarke is the next in line for a role in a Marvel project. And she might play one of the major villains in the upcoming Secret Invasion Disney+ series.

According to a recent leak by the Twitter account MyTimeToShineHello, Emilia Clarke is slated to play Veranke, the supervillain of the Secret Invasion comics plotline. Veranke is all over the comic book continuity, but she’s probably best known for impersonating Spider-Woman and at one time worked as a double agent for Nick Fury.

There have been various fan theories that have earlier pointed to the validity of this leak, for example, the kind of boots Clarke is wearing in several leaked pictures from the set, and also the height and composition of Clarke really befitting Varanke’s description from Marvel comics. The introduction of Varanke will also bring several new characters to the MCU storyline, including Spider-Woman, which doesn’t seem like a far-off possibility after the announcement of Multiverse of Madness.

Do you think Clarke is really playing Varanke? Or is she playing a different role? Talk to us in the comments below!
