Twitter account Wake the Dragon has reported that the intro for House of the Dragon has changed significantly from Season 1. The first season’s intro featured the symbols of every major Targaryen of the royal family, connected by a stream representing their shared bloodline.

Season 2 takes a different approach, one closer to the famous introduction sequence from the original series, Game of Thrones. According to the source, the intro will have a tapestry showing the history of the Targaryens being woven before our eyes. This resembles the illustrations seen in Season 1’s intro, which showed the Baratheons’ stag and the Lannisters’ lion defeating the Targaryen dragon.

House of the Dragon’s Season 1 intro brought back the famed Game of Thrones theme song composed by Ramin Djawadi. We are yet to find out if Season 2 will use the same theme song or introduce a new one.
