House of the Dragon might have just filmed a key Seasmoke scene for Season 2
Fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the second season of the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon. Filming has progressed quite a bit, and we have already seen glimpses of several scenes during the shoots in Spain and Wales. And whenever there are leaks, stories and theories are soon to follow. The latest one from Wales might involve one of the key dragon riders and a beloved dragon.
House of the Dragon filmed a scene with a dragon and dragonrider in Wales
Quite recently, there were a few leaks from Llanddwyn Beach (also known as Newborough Beach) in Wales that spread like Wildfire on the internet. The pictures that were taken by locals and published by several fan sites showed the first look at Clinton Liberty as Addam Velaryon on the set of House of the Dragon.
There were also reports of motion capture of a dragon being filmed on the same beach.

The scene might involve Seasmoke and Addam Velaryon
On closer observation of the photos leaked from the filming at Llanddwyn Beach, we noticed two of the pictures seemed quite related to each other. First, have a look at this picture taken from afar of Liberty as Addam.
Now look at this picture where the actors are posing as the dragon, with a mysterious white-wigged figure in front of them.
Comparing both the pictures, we can see that both the mysterious silver-haired character and Addam are at the same location on the beach, in the same position, on their knees, and looking towards the ocean. The only difference is the wig and the dragon stand-in behind. This can be explained by taking cues from Fire & Blood itself.
The lore in Fire & Blood
Addam of Hull, one of the dragonseeds chosen by Queen Rhaenyra’s son Jacaerys Velaryon during the Dance of the Dragons to try and ride one of the dragons the Blacks possessed, successfully tames Laenor Velaryon’s dragon Seasmoke and is legitimized by Lord Corlys Velaryon as a House Velaryon bastard. Though it is never confirmed which of the Velaryons was his father, some suspect it was either Laenor or Corlys himself, as Corlys and Addam did share a very close relationship, akin to a father and son.
Since silvery white hair is a distinctive feature of those of Valyrian descent, such as the Targaryens or Velaryons, the person in the white wig in front of the dragon might be Clinton Liberty as Addam Velaryon, and the dragon might be Seasmoke. The earlier pictures without the wig might have been dress rehearsals, as the wigs themselves are very costly and are subject to easy wear and tear.
Also, there are rumors that Laenor might return in season 2, but the mysterious figure can’t be him because he has to keep his hair shaved all the time in order to not get recognized, something we witnessed at the end of House of the Dragon Episode 7. And it is still a mystery as to how Addam claims Seasmoke. From the scene being filmed, we can guess that Addam and Seasmoke are on the beach to mourn the loss of Laenor, who either dies or leaves them once again. Either way, it does not bode well for Laenor.
