House Of The Dragon executive producer Jocelyn Diaz leaves show ahead of Season 2
Jocelyn Diaz will not be returning as the executive producer of HBO’s House of the Dragon for its second season. Sources revealed that her one-year contract had an option for a second year. But apparently, she didn’t opt for that. This is just the latest change for the show, which has already seen its share of behind-the-scenes drama. We hope that the rest of the team can find stability and success in the coming season.
After series executive producer Miguel Sapochnik stepped down from his position as co-showrunner for Season 1, House of the Dragon co-creator and executive producer Ryan Condal became the show’s sole showrunner for Season 2. He is continuing to work closely with the series’ co-creator and executive producer George R. R. Martin on the upcoming season.
Although it was revealed when Sapochnik left as co-showrunner that Sara Hess and Diaz would continue as executive producers for Season 2, that won’t be the case with Diaz, who is a non-writing EP. Condal is currently finalizing his team.
So far, Alan Taylor is the only new executive producer addition for Season 2 of House of the Dragon. He is a Game of Thrones veteran and will be EP/director.
