Happy Birthday George R.R. Martin! – The Game of Thrones author turns 74 today

George R. R. Martin is one of the most famous fantasy writers of present times. If not for him, we wouldn’t be having the amazing world of Game of Thrones, HBO’s fantasy epic based on his A Song of Ice and Fire novels. Though much of his fanbase has grown weary of him, for making them wait for the next book in the series Winds of Winter, he is still a coveted literary figure, and no one can deny his importance in the entertainment industry. Today is a special day for all those who follow his work, the veteran novelist turns 74 today.
Martin has not only written novels for his A Song of Ice and Fire universe, but he has also contributed to games, shows, and graphic novels, garnering fans from across all the fantasy genres. Various media houses and fans came forward on social media to wish the celebrated author a happy birthday.
