House of the Dragon Snapchat promo shows the new Targaryens, Aegon and Aemond

The newest promo from HBO Max’s Snapchat comes with a lot of fire, literally. We see Daemon Targaryen rising from flames on his dragon Caraxes. King Viserys is seen in terrible condition as he struggles to stand. His face seems to be partially covered in black lesions, like the ones we’ve seen on his body. We also see a glimpse of his sons, Aegon II and Aemond. So far, we have only seen them as babies and toddlers, but this promo gives us the first look at their teenage selves.

Aegon Targaryen (left), Aemon Targaryen (right)It’s unlikely we’ll see them in the upcoming episode 5. We will get a look at Rhaenyra’s brothers after the time jump following episode 5. This time jump will be much more significant, marked by the recasting of Rhaenyra and Alicent.

With the King’s health deteriorating rapidly, we’ll see tensions between the Targaryens only grow from here. Ser Otto Hightower has warned Alicent to prepare Aegon to be king and the promo shows him working on it. Clad in armor, Aegon looks fierce as he practices his skills which will come to use soon enough.
