Game of Thrones actor joins Amazon’s The Rings of Power

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon’s biggest competitor is Amazon’s The Lord of The Rings series: The Rings of Power. Though Amazon failed to touch the mark with The Wheel of Time, which was prophesied to be rivaling the likes of Game of Thrones, the streaming network is leaving no stone unturned with The Rings of Power. The Lord of The Rings prequel is said to be the most expensive TV show to have been ever made, and that alone for season 1.

Two Game of Thrones stars were earlier playing two of the leads in the show, out of which Joseph Mawle recently quit as Adar. However, another Game of Thrones alum has recently joined the show. According to Redanian Intelligence, Murray McArthur, who played Dim Dalba in Game of Thrones, has been roped in to play an undisclosed character in The Rings of Power. It is speculated that he might play a human or a dwarf.

Dim Dalba was an elderly warrior and raider and one of the prominent leaders in the Free Folk army gathered by Mance Rayder. Following the defeat of the wildling army in the Battle of Castle Black, he lead his followers to the relative safety of Hardhome. He was among the few wildling leaders who nodded in favor of Tormund in his support for Jon Snow.
