Lord Cregan Stark may drop some lore during his brief appearance
Let me tell you, this guy's accent is going to bring back so many GOT memories. 😂And, although he's only in one scene, he drops an amazing performance and even gives a little bit of info RE: dragons that's straight from the books and sent a bit of a shiver up my spine. https://t.co/TNmhfr8V28

The tweet above seems to confirm that suggest that Lord Cregan Stark’s scene will feature information pertaining to dragons. Given the context of the Starks, winter and dragons, Queen Alysanne Targaryen and her dragon Silverwing come to mind. Silverwing is a gentle dragon with extraordinary silver scales and she was very close to Queen Alysanne Targaryen, and this bond between Silverwing and Alysanne reflected the typical riders’ relationship.

Alysanne and Silverwing’s adventure to the wall
According to the book, Fire & Blood, in 58 AC, Queen Alysanne Targaryen makes a royal progress to the North, and experiences a number of strange and unsettling events, most notably at the Wall. Her dragon, Silverwing, reacted adversely to the wind and the weeping of the Wall. The book quoted:
“Though the queen herself noted that Silverwing “does not like this Wall.” Though it was summer and the Wall was weeping, the chill of the ice could still be felt whenever the wind blew, and every gust would make the dragon hiss and snap.”
The wind seems to bear something more than cold. It is abnormal for Silverwing to not take Queen Alysanne to the places she desires. Since Alysanne didn’t want to trouble the others about this, she wrote a letter to Jaehaerys after landing back south of the wall. According to the book:
“Thrice I flew Silverwing high above Castle Black, and thrice I tried to take her north beyond the Wall,” Alysanne wrote to Jaehaerys, “but every time she veered back south again and refused to go. Never before has she refused to take me where I wished to go. I laughed about it when I came down again, so the black brothers would not realize anything was amiss, but it troubled me then and it troubles me still.”
Alysanne visits the Nightfort
During her visit to the wall, Alysanne and Silverwing discovers the Nightfort which she finds grim and sinister:
The Nightfort itself she found grim and sinister. “It is so huge the men seem dwarfed by it, like mice in a ruined hall,” she told Jaehaerys, “and there is a darkness there…a taste in the air…I was so glad to leave that place.”
Queen Alysanne’s mention of darkness may be a shadow of the past or a future harbinger. She requests the Nightfort’s abandonment due to her feelings there, despite providing a different reason. Instead of updating it like Stannis later did, she wants to fund a new fort from her own resources, if that’s what it takes. It is mentioned in the book as:
“She understood the need for a castle between Snowgate and Icemark, she told Lord Burley, but the Nightfort was crumbling, overlarge, and surely ruinous to heat. The Watch should abandon it, she said, and build a smaller castle farther to the east.”
“Lord Burley could not disagree…but the Night’s Watch lacked the coin to build new castles, he said. Alysanne had anticipated that objection. She would pay for the castle herself, she told the Lord Commander, and pledged her jewels to cover the cost.”
Lord Cregan Stark’s scene in the first episode is expected to shed light on what Silverwing experienced at the wall. This context sets the stage for significant developments in the upcoming season. It may even give a more detailed explanation about the Winter. Hence, it may even provide more context to the events that happen in Game of Thrones.
