Now, here’s a crossover we did not know we needed!
The excitement for House of the Dragon season 2 is palpable. All brands are jumping onto the marketing bandwagon and benefitting from the vast popularity of the dragon-laden HBO show. While basketball certainly has no place in Westeros or King’s Landing, that did not stop NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal from meeting a majestic dragon.
Shaquille O’Neal Offers BBQ Chicken to a Dragon
We always knew how powerful and majestic the Targaryen dragons are, but we never anticipated that they would burn a popular NBA legend to a crisp. On the sports commentary show NBA on TNT, Shaquille O’Neal presented a culinary gift to a member of the House of the Dragon cast. It turned out to be none other than a dragon that perhaps thought the chicken was not well done.

The clip shows a dragon coming down to the commentary show’s studio and spraying fire on Shaq and his precious BBQ chicken casserole. The other commentators on the show claimed that this was Shaq’s best acting role since Kazaam. The sportsman then enters the stage with a shirt half torn, burns across his body, and lies down on the table on camera. Shaq is one of the best-known names in the basketball arena. The 52-year-old NBA player is worth over $500 million collectively that includes his basketball earnings, investments and real estate holdings.
HBO is doing a great job with marketing House of the Dragon and permeating every niche. The show premieres on Max on June 16. From dividing factions to showcasing dragons in various locations, one cannot escape the hype of House of the Dragon.
