The distortion of facts and history in the live-action series has been a major concern for fans around the globe, especially after the “epic” finale season of Game of Thrones. House of the Dragon covers only a certain segment of the book.
The first season of House of the Dragon focuses primarily on the second half of Fire & Blood. The prequel begins with King Viserys claiming the iron throne after he succeeds King Jaehaerys I Targaryen. A whole chunk of King Aegon I has been left off maybe to make the series more crisp and intriguing.
Six major volumes within Fire & Blood sum up the whole story. These are as follows – The Targaryen Conquest, The Peace of the Dragon, The Sons of the Dragon, Heirs of the Dragon, The Dying of the Dragons, and The Aftermath.
