Emma D’Arcy has earned acclaim and admiration from audiences, critics, and award panels alike for their portrayal of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon. D’Arcy has been on a roll after their short The Talent was sent for an Oscar. The actor was nominated for Rolling Stone’s Television Award.

Emma D’Arcy nominated by Rolling Stone for House of the Dragon

The second annual Rolling Stone UK Awards was held at London’s Roundhouse and hosted by Jayde Adams. Annually, awards ceremonies are convened to honor the finest achievements in music, film, and entertainment, celebrating the highlights of the year 2024. This year, Emma D’Arcy was one of the nominees for The Television Award for their performance in House of the Dragon Season 2.

Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner was also one of the nominees

Apart from D’Arcy, Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner was also one of the nominees at this year’s Rolling Stone The Television Award. Turner was nominated for her titular role of Joan in the eponymous ITV series. The award ultimately went to Toby Jones for Mr Bates vs The Post Office. Here is the complete list of nominees:
