Fans react to news about Milly Alcock’s DCU Supergirl screen test
Warner Bros is taking a big step ahead with DC Studios after the wrap-up of the former DCEU with Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Under the direction of James Gunn and Peter Safran, the new DCU will be a reboot of the franchise, welcoming new faces and characters to the fray. And House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock (Rhaenyra) has a good chance of being one of them.
Milly Alcock to screen test for DCU’s Supergirl
Work on various DC projects is going on rapidly, and new cast members are being revealed every other day. Milly Alcock, Emilia Jones, and Meg Donnelly will screen test for the DCU Supergirl role, according to a recent report. Rather than appearing in a Supergirl film, the character will probably make her debut as a cameo in a DCU production.
Fans react to Milly Alcock’s possible casting in the DCU
Actors from both House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones have starred in Marvel as well as DC films before. Milly Alcock, if cast as the new Supergirl, will be the most recent entry in the list. The news of her auditioning for the role spread like wildfire, and fans have been putting forth their opinions on social media. Some of them from X (Twitter) are listed below:
My personal choice is quite biased but I really want Milly Alcock for the role. She's Australian and the one thing we love to do is swear and she does that really well. In that Supergirl comic the film is going to be based on, Supergirl swears plenty of times, it's hilarious.

Milly Alcock will not age well as Supergirl. Meg Donnelly is the clear choice here.
