Fan recreates Aemond’s first flight on Vhagar using Unreal Engine 5 (but with better lighting)
Following the release of the seventh episode, House of the Dragon achieved unprecedented heights. The funeral for Laena Velaryon, who committed suicide in the previous chapter, sets the tone for the gloomy start of the episode. But when Aemond, Alicent Hightower’s second son, claims Vhagar for himself, the subsequent events spiral out of control and turn into a larger struggle. Aemond loses his eye in the fight, but he and Otto believe it was well worth the cost.
House of the Dragon fan recreates Aemond’s first flight
Aemond claiming the biggest dragon in Westeros at such a young age was one of the best moments of House of the Dragon Season 1. A redditor by the name of unity5games recently converted the entire flight scene into a gaming simulator, where you play as Aemond and try to climb up Vhagar. The voices for the scene are also replicated from the show, which makes the gameplay more realistic.

Why was House of the Dragon Season 1 Episode 7 so dark?
While Game of Thrones doesn’t exactly have a good track record when it comes to filming scenes in the dark, episode 7 of House of the Dragon was a bit too dark. HBO later clarified in an official tweet:
“We appreciate you reaching out about a night scene in House of the Dragon: Episode 7 appearing dark on your screen. The dimmed lighting of this scene was an intentional creative decision.”
